Soundtrack - french montana - So High (INSTRUMENTAL)

Playing in the wind - soundtrack

I will show the opening titles as this song plays in the background as my film starts.
I am going to use this song because its relaxed and why I have chosen it because the opening 2 minutes are going to be ''waking up & getting ready''.
I used the website http://www.datpiff.com to download this instrumental.

The Warriors (1979)

The Warriors (1979)
A film based on a book written by Soul Yurick in 1965 of a Gang story line combined with a classical Greek story.

The movie opens with a comic book picture of the Battle of Cunaxa in 401BC Which is an event that really happened and this lets us knows the genre of the movie automatically that involves courage and conflict. then we se comic strips of the characters and the story beggins with the wonder wheel and this indicates that people are going there but its dark ,this tells us something negative happens there which is a stereotype in movies, young suburb people as we saw in the introduction going to the wonder wheel to do something, as the creepy music is playing we are watching the opening titles of this movie and then shown the title of the movie, The Warriors (1979) is a U.S gang genre film based in the New York in 1979. At 1:58 we see a wide shot of a train arriving which indicates the warriors are on the train and are going to the wonder wheel and as predicted we are shown a mid close up of one of the charecters talking about a charecter call syrus, who seems to have some sort of authority and people look up to him , then the warriors get on the train and we see lots of camera shots and editing of their train journey. In between this there is some dialogue between charecters and they say that every gang in the city is going to be there. Will you accompany on their journey?

Media Audiences

An Audience is the people who consume the media product (movies). When a movie is a made the people who make them will think of who their film is aimed, age group and gender are the main things that are thought about. I think these are the people called the targeted market and from this we get traditional audiences and media audiences. The best way said to enjoy a film is to go to the cinema, by most people whether as a group of people or an individual the media product is consumed and this makes you a member of the targeted audience because you are attending an audio visual performance and all the members of the audience will have the same opinion or/and will simultaneously relate to the film.Analysing the target market for any film is vital to having an effective and popular selling movie which many people will talk about and recommend to their friends. At the same time the industry will be making money,if choosing the correct targeted audience is done well enough it can make a great impact on how the movie sells. When you catch a bus you will probably see advertisements of movies or maybe even a trailer being displayed if it catches your attention and you think "wow" I want to see that. Then it means that you are the targeted audience.

Opening 2 minutes - 50\50 (2011)

Film analysis 50/50

50/50 Poster

Mandate Pictures

Seth Rogen

Joseph Gordon Levitt

The film starts with a cut in shot of an ipod, then a close up of a man jogging then it changes on to a tracking shot that changes from mid shot to wide shot , then a wide shot. then these wide shots change location and we see the man running towards the camera and every time  he gets closer it changes scenary. Then the man stops to cross the road and he is jogging on the spot because the pedestrian crossing light is RED, but then another person storms past him and runs across the road because the roads are empty and it is safe to cross, this main charecter knows this but he chooses to not take the risk and waits until the light changes to green and the music in the background comes on back on and this indacates that the sound is non - diegetic because it comes across as mood music because he stoped when he saw that the light was RED and at the same time the happy mood music went off indicating there is something wrong. Then another person sprints past him leaving him behind and he chooses not to cross the road until the light is GREEN, and when it turns green he crosses and the music comes back ON, I think its non diegetic sound because of this interval in the music and because the opening titles are still coming up on the screen.
As the man comes to the middle of the road we see a mid shot of him touching his back as if he is releaving some sort of pain then he hops looks around and carrys on running as if it hadn't bothered him and the film is edited and we see a mid close up of him in the shower looking upset and we can hear the same music reminding us that it is non -diegetic because we can also hear the shower water drops.

Institution Research

Paramount is the Production, they own studios and are in charge of providing you with all the audio and video recording and monitoring technology you need to make a movie, if you have the money to do so. But before this the Director/Producer must find a finance for a film - which may come from one or many production companies. (co-production)

Paramount distribute all kinds of films, they distribute films for Marvel ,DreamWorks and Blumhouse Productions.
