Analysis PITW

When the charecter hides behind the wall the shot fades away into the ripples, the charecter is wearing his casual clothes but this also represents age group quite well because it is typical of a teenage boy to hide behind a wall to avoid somebody.

The soundtrack and the charecter go well with eachother because the charecter is a simple guy, we can see this because he is wearing a t-shirt and his walls inside the house have street art which is something only a modern down to earth simple family would allow, I see this as something that identifies the target audience because its these people whom the movie is aimed at.

Something is shown coming out of the water after the ripples appear, most people would say ''s**t hit the fan'' , this is my version of that, just with a stick jumping out of the water, followed by a shot of the gutter symbolising somewhere nasty and while the transaction of these shots is happening we hear the gong being played this was done to show that all the shots your seeing are symbolic to the charecter and that they all mean something to the charecter.

As the film begins the sound is of the soundtrack and the audience see an image of a clear blue sky and the clouds going by, this convention is done by speeding the shot up to give an effect that the time is going by and everything is alright.

The Mise en Scene go well with the camera work mostly on a camera shot that is a tracking shot and the charecter is seen doing his buttons up, I believe this a good representation of age group because the charecter is represeting somebody who is walking out of his house with confidence and is just doing his buttons up like any lad who is comfortable with his sense of fashion and style, a typical teenager.

All different shots are used and edited together towards the end of the film, we see shots of gutter, lights and these shots were edited to be shown really fast like flashes, these shots were done like this to convince that the place at the end of the project is a dark misty place.

ACTIVITY V

How I tried to attract the audience in my imaginary film.

ACTIVITY IV

This is a photo of a person who I would point out as the target audience because this is a photo of an individual who takes pride of his appearence. One who presents himself with dignity and has the appearence of an proud open minded person.

I think he would shop at the supermarket like tesco as most people do and for clothes probably oxfam or somewhere where you can get the best for your money and it is all about buying what you feel comfortable wearing. One who is opened to all different types of music and cultures and likes to experience and learn about different types of music and get joy from learning about differnt cultures.
This person would probably enjoy movies and tv shows such as Superbad and Breaking Bad.

They would watch my film because its all about drama and the small things in a project that as a humam being that could happen to me, its not something out of this world like a marvel book, its just a simple drama with a bit of comedy!

ACTIVITY II

Similarities & Differences between my Charecter and one from a real media product!

The jacket is the main thing that is almost equal to what my charecter is wearing and the biggest similarity.

But the other Similarity is that they are both doing odd things in the opening 2 minutes of a film, the one from a movie called Growing Op ( 2008). Is looking through a strangers bedroom window and in my project the charecter is hiding from people behind a wall, completly different actions but they both behaviours are in the same group but are opposites, one is hiding and the other one is revealing himself.

But the point is that they both play the same role in their film, these charecters are both the odd ones and the ''outsiders'' but the film is all about them.

Below is the link for the full movie.

The build up to growing Op is like my project, the main charecter busy crafting something it almost looks as if it is a hobbie but these are both charecters daily routines and something they are partly passionate about, then they confront an awkward situation and this is what both actors have in common  in the start of their film .

Target Audience

Typical Audience

Drama / Comedy / Sci - Fi / Teenage

Students - PG

The analogy in my project and real media products such as the similar films, is that they are both films based on one character and everything revolves around them, in my case it is that he lives the life of a student who has a very simple standards to accomplish but this is a character represented as the typical out of ordinary high profile unique talented mysterious person who the audience can easily relate to and want to find out more about.
